Built from scratch
I had recently graduated from university and had my first job working at British Steel in Rotherham UK. I was working a 3 shift rota and so with time (and money) on my hands I decided I needed a hobby.
18 months later she passed her MOT (Ministry of Transport) test first time and away I went.
It’s called an Eagle and was based on a VW chassis. With a beefed up 1600cc engine and with such a light body it really flew along and with tyres more akin to F1 it was glued to the road.
Unfortunately this is the only picture I have. I drove it around for 2 years and then sold it. It was sad to see it go but times had moved on and I was now living in London, but that’s another story ...
