It’s time to stop complaining!
This weekend I had a massive wake up call, with a bed ridden partner thanks to a delightful virus and an energetic five year old I found myself exhausted and run down complaining about anything and everything. Around four wash loads in and my list of jobs getting longer by the second I took a step back, just a minute and realised what I was doing it for.
Eight year old me dreamed of this; a family, a home, jobs to do like cleaning and food shopping and pets. I looked around almost with a new set of eyes. I decided I needed to be grateful and see positivity in the mundane and daily tasks.
So today I started fresh, set my alarm two hours earlier than normal. I got up and went to the gym, ate breakfast (something I never manage to do), washed up, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the cats litter tray and food bowls and did some general life admin all before 9am.
Today is only day one and I’m not naïve, it isn’t going to be easy but I can say I feel ready to take on the world!
