The Synchro Garden – The growing season
The irrigation and timers are a godsend as you don’t have to worry about watering every day. Provided you have water in the tank its’ done twice a day for 10-15 minutes.
We currently have: - Onions. Leeks and beetroot, cauliflowers, fennel and radishes. Various types of tomatoes and aubergines. Garlic, sweet potato and green beans, sweetcorn and peppers. Cucumbers and courgettes and cauliflowers. Three different types of lettuce and some pak choi.
Courgette and cucumbers produce very vivid yellow flowers and then produce the crop. Cucumbers grow at a rate of knots. Trying to grow them up a frame so they don’t get too wet with the irrigation system and begin to rot. Got some Okra growing and we will see how it does.
The first cherry tomato has appeared and there are plenty of green ones one the plants. Baby courgettes and cucumbers are there as well and cauliflowers are formed.
It will be daily raspberries and blackberries with yoghurt for breakfast every day plus strawberries.
Part from the fact that as at 10 July we have no water – common occurrence here – it’s all go for growth!
